Mentaf Tablets (50 tablets) – Kobayashi Pharmaceutical

A traditional Japanese herbal medicine (Kampo) formulated to support men experiencing mental strain, nervousness, or decreased vitality related to performance pressure and fatigue. Mentaf contains the Kampo formula Keishikaryukotsuboreito, which helps balance the autonomic nervous system, promote relaxation, and improve symptoms such as nervousness, insomnia, and weakened stamina.

You may notice improvement in morning vitality as a sign that the formula is beginning to take effect.

Indications

For individuals with moderate to weak constitution who tire easily and are nervous or excitable, Mentaf helps alleviate the following symptoms:

• Nervousness

• Insomnia

• Night crying or bedwetting in children

• Eye fatigue

• Neurasthenia (nerve weakness)

Dosage and Administration

Take with water or warm water before or between meals:

• Adults (15 years and over): 5 tablets, twice daily

• Children 7–15 years: 4 tablets, twice daily

• Children under 7 years: Do not use

(“Between meals” means about 2–3 hours after eating.)

Ingredients (per daily dose of 10 tablets)

Contains 2.3g of Keishikaryukotsuboreito extract, prepared from:

• Cinnamon Bark (Keihi): 2.0g

• Peony Root (Shakuyaku): 2.0g

• Jujube (Taisou): 2.0g

• Ginger (Shokyo): 0.5g

• Licorice (Kanzo): 1.0g

• Fossilized Oyster Shell (Borei): 1.5g

• Dragon Bone (Ryukotsu): 1.5g

Additives: anhydrous silica, aluminum silicate, CMC-Ca, magnesium stearate, lactose

Precautions

Do not use if:

• The product is past its expiration date

• The tablets become wet or damaged

Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if:

• You are under medical treatment

• You are pregnant or may be pregnant

• You are elderly

• You have experienced allergic reactions to medications

• You have swelling (edema), or have been diagnosed with high blood pressure, heart disease, or kidney disease

Possible side effects:

• Skin rash, redness, or itching

• Rarely, serious symptoms such as pseudoaldosteronism or myopathy (muscle weakness, pain, numbness, stiffness) may occur. Stop use and seek medical attention immediately.

If symptoms do not improve after about one month (or after one week for children’s night crying), discontinue use and consult a doctor.
