Askron is Japan's choice for asthma and cough. This antitussive and expectorant contains six active ingredients, including methoxyphenamine hydrochloride, which relaxes the bronchi and eases breathing while suppressing cough.

It effectively improves coughs and phlegm caused by asthma or colds.

Quantity: 24 powder packets per box

Dosage:

  • Take the following doses three times a day after meals with water or lukewarm water:

Precautions regarding dosage and administration

  • Strictly follow the prescribed dosage and administration.

  • When giving to children, ensure they take it under the guidance and supervision of a guardian.

Ingredients

  • Methoxyphenamine hydrochloride: 50 mg

  • Noscapine: 20 mg

  • Licorice: 66 mg (equivalent to 330 mg of licorice)

  • Potassium guaiacolsulfonate: 90 mg

  • Anhydrous caffeine: 50 mg

  • Carbinosamine maleate: 4 mg

Excipients: Magnesium aluminum metasilicate, cellulose, lactose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, flavoring

Precautions / Warnings

Things NOT to do
(Ignoring these may worsen symptoms or increase the risk of side effects or accidents)

  • Do not use other antitussives, cold medicines, sedatives, or oral drugs containing antihistamines (e.g., oral medication for rhinitis, motion sickness, or allergies) while taking this medicine.

  • Do not drive vehicles or operate machinery after taking this medicine (may cause drowsiness).

Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if:

  1. You are receiving medical treatment.

  2. You are pregnant or may be pregnant.

  3. You are elderly.

  4. You have a history of allergic reactions to medications.

  5. You have the following symptoms: high fever, difficulty urinating.

  6. You have been diagnosed with: heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, glaucoma, thyroid disorders.

Stop use and consult a doctor if any of the following occur:

  • Skin: rash, redness, itching

  • Digestive system: nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite

  • Nervous system: dizziness

  • Urinary system: difficulty urinating

  • May cause dry mouth or drowsiness; if these symptoms persist or worsen, stop taking and consult a doctor or pharmacist.

  • If symptoms do not improve after 5–6 doses, discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Storage and Handling

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

  • Keep out of reach of children.

  • Do not transfer to another container (may cause misuse or quality changes).

  • If a packet is partially used, fold the bag and store; consume within 2 days.

  • Do not use past the expiration date.
