Taisho Pabron Lozenges for Sore Throat

A medicine that treats throat pain and swelling caused by conditions such as tonsillitis and pharyngitis, using two anti-inflammatory ingredients that act on the source of inflammation.

Fast-dissolving chewable tablets let you take it anywhere without water. It can be taken regardless of meals (before/after food) and does not contain drowsiness-causing ingredients.

Indications

  • Tonsillitis / Pharyngitis (sore throat, throat swelling)

  • Mouth ulcers (stomatitis)

  • 18 tablets

Dosage and directions

Chew or let dissolve in the mouth.

  • Adults (15+): 2 tablets, 3 times daily (morning / noon / evening)

  • Children 7–14: 1 tablet, 3 times daily (morning / noon / evening)

  • Under 7: Do not use

Notes

  • Follow the stated dosage strictly.

  • May be taken before or after meals.

  • Children should take it under parent/guardian supervision.

  • Remove tablets properly from the PTP blister (push through the foil). Do not swallow the sheet.

Do not use with

While taking this medicine, do not take:

  • Oral medicines containing licorice (kanzo) / glycyrrhizin (risk of swelling, elevated blood pressure, myopathy, etc.)

  • Oral medicines containing tranexamic acid (including some rhinitis medicines, cold/fever medicines, cough/expectorants, etc.)
    Also: Do not use continuously for a long period.

Consult a healthcare professional before use if you

  • Are under medical/dental treatment

  • Are pregnant or may be pregnant

  • Are elderly

  • Have had allergies to medicines

  • Have swelling (edema)

  • Have been diagnosed with high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease, or have/have had blood clots (e.g., cerebral thrombosis, myocardial infarction, thrombophlebitis), or are at risk of thrombosis

Stop use and seek advice if you experience

  • Skin: rash, redness, itching

  • Digestive: nausea/vomiting, heartburn, appetite changes, stomach discomfort

  • Nervous system: dizziness

  • Urinary: frequent urination

  • Severe (rare): pseudoaldosteronism / myopathy — limb weakness, numbness, tightness/stiffness, increasing muscle pain or fatigue (seek medical care immediately)

If diarrhea persists/worsens, stop and consult.
If symptoms don’t improve after 5–6 days, stop and consult.

Active ingredients (per 6 tablets)

  • Tranexamic acid: 750 mg

  • Dipotassium glycyrrhizate: 63 mg

  • Niacinamide: 60 mg

  • Pyridoxine HCl (Vitamin B6): 50 mg

  • Riboflavin (Vitamin B2): 12 mg

Other ingredients

Cellulose, anhydrous silica, corn starch, D-mannitol, crospovidone, aspartame (L-phenylalanine compound), acesulfame K, sucralose, citric acid, magnesium stearate, flavoring, sodium octenyl succinate starch.
